The Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, is pleased to announce it will begin the use of electronic filing effective May 1, 2012. As of May 1, attorneys will be required to file new and pending cases electronically in the court.
Attorneys in juvenile or other confidential cases, however, cannot file through the Missouri eFiling System at the present time. They are required to send their documents as attachments to e-mail. The court is notifying the attorneys in those cases about the procedure to be followed.
To begin filing electronically, an attorney first must register for a free account. Attorneys are encouraged to register before filing in the Western District begins May 1, 2012.
